So many people search, seeking to find happiness; however, in many instances, they look in the wrong direction. As important as money is, and it is important, it cannot buy happiness. For some reason we have the idea that the more money we have, the happier we will be. But we have found that the opposite is true; for many have accumulated wealth, but are still unhappy. If we want to know how to live a happy life, all we have to do is turn to the Word of God. In Matthew 5:6, we find these words:

 “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”

Here we see the Fourth Beatitude. The words “hunger” and “thirst,” are strong words, meaning intense desire or longing for. Notice how the word “blessed” is recorded throughout the Beatitudes. This passage can be viewed as a roadmap for life:  in the fourth verse we find, “blessed are those who mourn for they shall be comforted.”  And in the fifth verse we find, “blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the earth.” Read this chapter to see how to live a happy life.
