Today’s devotion raises a question. How important is God to you?  Is He first in your life? Only you can answer that question. Think of these words:” In all thy ways, acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy path.” God is to be first, foremost in our life! Where your mind is, there He should be also. If He is important to you, you will express His importance in several ways. You will thank Him. You will worship Him. You will acknowledge Him. You will serve Him. You will consult with Him before you do anything, and the list continues. He is first in every aspect of your life He is number One. Isaiah 55:6 is our text today.

“Seek the Lord while you can find Him. Call on Him now while He is near.”

The call is for repentance. Israel must seek Him. Those who seek Him shall find Him. He is near to those who call on Him. The prophet Isaiah declares the time of salvation is at hand. Israel must turn back to the Lord who has already forgiven them. They must put the Lord first, forsake their old ways, and acknowledge Him. This is a clarion call to turn to God to receive His mercy. The writer declares in chapter 55, the power and strength of God. He calls upon His people to turn to Him. He says blessed are those who are careful to do this. God has given us the opportunity to make Him first in our lives. May He forever remain your top priority.
