HONOR YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN THE LORD

As believers, we are called upon to live in harmony with each other. We should honor our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is not an option; it is a mandate. I have found that many of us, who are trying to be followers of the Lord, have a hard time dealing with people. But we cannot say that we love the Lord whom we cannot see, then act like we do not love our brothers and sisters whom we can see. Every day, there is a connection between God and people. Our love for God should be expressed in our love for one another and for all people everywhere, regardless of their faith or ethnicity. In Romans 12:10, we find these words:

“Love each other with genuine affection and take delight in honoring each other.”

In this passage of scripture, the word “love” is emphasized. “Love” each other with deep affection. Do not just pretend to love others, really love them! Hate what is wrong. Try to do what is good. God’s people should be ready to help whenever they are needed, and they should always be ready to practice hospitality. Bless those who persecute you. Pray that God will bless them to be happy so that we can all live in harmony with one another. Honor your brothers and sisters in the Lord. Prayerfully, that is what we are all striving to do, every day.
