HOLINESS

The devotion today is simply one word, Holiness. What a profound word! You can
never use that word lightly as it is a word of reverence, respect, and honor. This
word speaks volumes about God, for we serve a Holy God and we should come
into His presence with holiness every time we come, bowing at His Feet. I have
heard the phrase, “Giving honor to God” used on many occasions as a salutation,
but I caution that we should pay attention and never take God’s Words lightly.
When we are in His presence, it ought to cause us to tremble. Moses had a holiness encounter with God. Exodus 4:21 recounts this story:

“And the LORD told Moses, “When you arrive back in Egypt, go to Pharaoh
and perform all the miracles I have empowered you to do. But I will harden
his heart so he will refuse to let the people go.”

It is a part of God’s divine plan that the Egyptians would reject Moses. God
summoned Moses to go before Pharaoh, yet God’s plan was to harden Pharoh’s
heart. Moses followed the Lord’s instructions. Read this
powerful story to see how God used Moses to bring about His
will. Always remember that God’s ways are not our ways. May
you be strengthened today knowing that we serve a Holy God who requires us to
live a holy life. Follow where He leads!
