I have said on more than one occasion, if the devil is not messing with you, you are obviously not messing with Him. Whenever you seek to serve the Lord, the devil gets busy. He will come at you in all kinds of  ways because he is cunning, clever, and persistent. We have the power through our Lord Jesus Christ to become victorious over Satan and his evil plans. We cannot defeat the devil in our flesh for the flesh is weak. But God’s grace is sufficient. That is what this devotion speaks of today. The scripture reference today is II Corinthians 12:9 and reads in this manner.

“Each time he said, ‘My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.’”

In this deep and moving passage of scripture, we see how Paul is dealing with Satan. He was given a thorn in his flesh, to keep him from becoming proud. Satan comes at him time after time. However, the Lord responds by saying, “My grace is sufficient.” Paul knew full well that boasting about his accomplishments was something that Satan took advantage of. However, Paul found himself boasting only about the grace and mercy of God. He recognized that when he was weak, it is then that the Lord made him strong. When you get a chance, read this entire chapter. Paul speaks clearly of the amazing grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If we are to live victorious lives, then surely, we need His grace. Thanks be unto God that His grace is more than enough .It truly is sufficient.
