HELP MY UNBELIEF
Today’s devotion encourages transparency and honesty. There are areas in our lives that need strengthening. When the odds are against us, some of us doubt the Lord. There have been times in my life that I have doubted God. I constantly ask Him to strengthen my unbelief. In Mark 9:24 we find these words:
“The father instantly cried out, ‘I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!’”
In verse 17, a father brings his mentally ill child to Jesus. The boy was possessed by an evil spirit. The father asked Jesus’ disciples to cast out the evil spirit, but they could not. The father asked Jesus to have mercy and to help him if he could. “Jesus responded, saying, “Anything is possible if a person believes” (verse 22). Ask the Lord today to help you in your unbelief!
