Although we have all sinned and come short of His glory (Romans 3:23), God has given us eternal life. Satan has no power over us. Christ took the sting out of death, and death cannot hold us down. We grieve with family and loved ones who experience death, but we know that “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5) That is our hope. In 1 Corinthians 15:55, we find these words:

“O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?^”

We have heard this scripture so many times, and it is one to cherish. The wages of sin is death, but God blesses us with eternal life. We can rejoice knowing the hand of God has set us free. Praise God!
