HE LIVES!

On this resurrection Sunday, we sing praises to God. We serve a risen Savior! I
remember the words of my pastor, Rev. Dr. Albert Franklin Campbell, Pastor Emeritus.
He said, “It is not grammatically correct that we serve a risen Savior, but it is logically
sound.” Yes, we serve a risen, loving Savior indeed. We gather today to give God
praise. We know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that He is walking with us, every step of
the way and lives within our hearts. Early Sunday morning He got up with all power in
His hands! In Matthew 28:6, we find these words:
“He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen. Come, see where his body was lying.”
Here we see the events of that Resurrection Morning when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to visit the tomb to anoint Jesus’ body with oil. When the women arrived, they were told that Jesus was not there, but that He had risen from the dead just as He said He would. The women went quickly to tell others about the risen Savior. We celebrate this day giving God thanks that we serve a risen Savior. He Lives!
