Yesterday’s devotion spoke of crying out for help.  Today, we can rest assured that when you cry out, God has the help you stand in need of. No matter what your plea for help is, He can help you. No matter the situation you find yourself in, He can help you. No burden is too heavy for the Lord to carry; no situation in your life that He cannot provide the help you need. All you need to do is to put your hope and faith in Him. He will do the rest. He is a helper, provider and way-maker. He can open doors that no one can open. He can close doors that no one can close. The scripture lesson is Exodus 33:19 and reads in this manner.

“The Lord replied, ‘I will make all my goodness pass before you, and I will call out my name, Yahweh, before you. For I will show mercy to anyone I choose, and I will show compassion to anyone I choose.’”

In this moving passage, we see how Moses sees the glory of the Lord. Moses is unsure of what lies ahead as he leads his people. Moses is seeking to follow the Lord as the Lord has told him to take the people to the Promised Land. The Lord told Moses that He would go with him, give him rest and all that He needs. In the text, Moses was assured that the Lord would be with Him and grant mercy and compassion. Moses need not be afraid for he and the people are in God’s favor. Read this entire chapter to see how the Lord provides help to people in need. May this chapter remind you that God will grant to you all the help you need.
