HE CALLS US OUT OUR COMFORT ZONE
We walk not by sight when we follow the Lord. There are steps that sometimes we take into the unknown because we are out of our comfort zone. We are taken to places we have never been before but despite our being fragile, there is great power and treasure working on the inside of us. We cannot stay in the same place because of the great things God has placed in us. Our scripture lesson for this devotion is found in 2 Corinthians 4:7:
“We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure.”
This makes it clear that a great power from God is working in us. This power is not based upon what is going on outside all around us, but rather what is in us. He says, “We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair.” Jesus, Himself, knows very well what troubles can cause us to live outside the comfort zone. But what is around us does not have the power to hinder what is inside us.
