Have This Mind In You

What we think says a lot about who we are. Proverbs 23:7 (KJV) says, “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he….”  We always need to think godly thoughts that are honorable and pleasing unto Him. Make sure that your thoughts are not evil or ill-willed. We are called upon to have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). In Philippians 2:5, we find these words:

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:”

Paul speaks to the Philippians regarding their conduct. He tells them that as believers, they must have a humble disposition and consider others to be better than themselves. Paul wants them to have the humility of Christ. He knew from his own life-changing experience of the need for a Christ-centered mind. A radical transformation had taken place in his life. Consequently, he encouraged his fellow believers to have a heart and a mind of Christ. Prayerfully we have a mind of Christ. Our minds and hearts have been changed. God cannot dwell in a hard heart nor can He dwell in a mind that has unclean thoughts. Think on things that are holy, honorable right and true.
