I am inspired about what faith in God can do. I have stepped out on faith many times and watched God do miraculous things. “Great Faith” is the title of this devotion. I have longed to have great faith. I also know what faith the size of a mustard seed can do. I remember it like yesterday, on May 4th, the National Day of Prayer and our 24-hour prayer vigil with more than 600 people praying on the line. Normally 100 people are on the line, but God showed what one-step of faith could do. This is one example and I have many. Let us look at the Word of God, Mark 11:21:
“Peter remembered what Jesus had said to the tree on the previous day and exclaimed, ‘Look, Rabbi! The fig tree you cursed has withered and died!’”
The Master is teaching the lesson of a fig tree the disciples saw. Peter remembered this, even though the tree was withered. Jesus responded by saying, “Have faith in God”. Jesus uses this as a teaching moment, knowing that great faith will bring about great results. The Master speaks of how the mountain can be cast into the sea. Knowing that whatever you ask in God’s will shall come to pass when you ask in faith. Have faith in God. This is an essential word of the Master. Jesus has faith in the Father, and we are to have faith. It is amazing what faith can do. It can bring life to a withered tree and move mountains. It can bring impossible blessings into our live. With God, all things are possible. I pray that you have great faith and that you are a witness to the power of God. Take a moment, look back at your life and see how faith in God has changed some things. Peter remembered. We ask now that you remember. When you do, you realize that there is no secret to what God can do. What He has done for others, He will do for you.
