The fact that we can do everything through Christ Jesus should give us confidence. No matter what challenges we face, we will be victorious because of God’s strength that He gives to us. In this life, there will be countless heavy burdens we must bear, along with troubles and sorrows that we will have to endure. But with the strength of God, we will have the power in us and through us to overcome all that comes our way. That ought to cause you to shout right now! We have been given this inner strength from God.. We will be able to face our troubles head on, knowing that we have the power within us to stand. In Philippians 4:13, we find these words:

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”

Paul discovered the Lord’s strength during his difficult times in his life. He said that he learned how to live on almost nothing. He says that he is not complaining, but rather explaining how God kept him. He expresses his thanks to God for the people of God who lifted him up in prayer. He says that he has now come to the point in his life where he is content. His words are strong and mighty when he says, “I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength.” Not his own strength, but the strength within him that comes from the Lord.  When you get a chance, read this entire chapter. Prayerfully, we will all be able to say, like Paul, “I can do everything through Christ who gives me strength!”
