In reading the daily devotions, you will notice that a few have been centered on blessings, repentance, and the knowledge that the Lord will bless those who have returned to Him after wandering away. I pray that these devotions have caused us to take inventory of our lives. I must admit they have been inspiring, yet challenging for me. They have given me the opportunity to reflect on my own journey. I have wandered at times and have allowed my mind to be misdirected.  But thanks be unto God for His favor! In Psalm 85:1, we find these words:

“Lord, you poured out blessings on your land! You restored the fortunes of Israel.”

The psalmist is asking God to grant salvation. It reveals an urging plea for the Lord to save His people again. It also brings assurance that the Lord will deliver His saints, restore their fortunes, and bring back that which was lost. Read this entire 85th Psalm when you get the chance. We all stand in need of His favor. May we all be strengthened today with the knowledge and assurance that God is a loving God who will restore that which was lost. The favor of the Lord is upon us, all we have to do is ask!
