GOD’S CHILDREN
We are all God’s children. We have a Heavenly Father who loves us unconditionally. And because we are God’s children, we are called to live a life that is pleasing to Him. Our standard of living must reflect our Heavenly Father. As being God’s children, we must receive Christ the same as a child. The reference to a child is intended to mean, “to be open to instructions.” In Mark 10:15, we find these words:
“I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
Jesus was talking to the parents of the children, who were trying to stop the children from touching Him. When Jesus saw this, He spoke to the crowds, telling them to bring the children forward, saying that the
kingdom of God belongs to anyone who believes in Him. Afterwards, He placed the children in His arms, placed His hands on their heads, and blessed them. God has also blessed us. Let us honor Him like His children by recognizing His great love and care for us. Prayerfully, you can join with me in saying, “I am a
child of God!”
