As I write this devotion, I think of the hymn reminding us of God’s “Amazing Grace.” Grace is surely amazing! We are saved by His grace and not by works, lest any of us should boast. Let us then boast about God’s Grace. Take time today to thank God for His Grace and for looking beyond our faults. I cannot put into words the power of His Grace. Once again, look over your life to see how God’s Grace has come into your life at some crucial times. All we can do is give God thanks and praise His holy name.

The Scripture reference for this devotion is found in the Gospel according to St. John 1:16. There we find these words:

“From His abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.”

Here in this moving passage of Scripture, John, the gospel writer, shares how God blesses us repeatedly. He goes on to say that no one has ever seen God, but He has revealed God to us. God’s amazing grace is abundant to those who have believed in Him. Now, as the children of God, we give God thanks today that we are His children and thus have received grace, amazing grace, love, wisdom, and mercy, all because of God. We rejoice that we serve a God that loves completely and has given us His Grace. He woke us up this morning, and started us on our way, so have a blessed day.
