GOD WILL SUPPLY ALL OF OUR NEEDS
Today’s devotion speaks about how God loves a generous giver. I would argue strongly that far too many believers become upset when the subject of giving comes up. For some reason, giving is a sensitive topic. However, we know that God loves a generous giver. Giving is a part of worship. We worship Him with our gifts and offerings for we recognize that all we have comes from Him. We also know that God will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory. The more we give, the more He gives back to us. The scripture reference for this devotion is II Corinthians 9:8 and reads.
“And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”
In this passage, the Apostle Paul speaks about the generosity of God. In this chapter, he writes that only a farmer planting a few seeds will have a small crop. The one planting generously will abound abundantly. You must decide in your own hearts what you will do. Do not give reluctantly but give generously from what He has given you. To whom much is given, much is required. We do not give to compete. We give from the heart. Paul wanted the people he loved to understand God’s Word. They should give to the poor and their good deeds will be remembered. God will bless those who give from the depths of their hearts. Prayerfully, you have discovered the blessing of giving. Every time you give, God gives back to you so much more. He is a generous God and wants us to be generous as well.
