As believers, we must always walk in the steps of the Lord. God will give us the strength to stand firm in the face of adversity. God will not let the godly slip, but
our focus must always be on Him.  When we keep our eyes on God, we can stand strong and continue doing the things God has called us to do. We must always remain in the presence of God; we cannot take our eyes off God for one minute, otherwise, we may stumble and fall.  I know this to be true.  There have been times in my life when I took my eyes off the Lord; believe me I paid the price for that! I know I’m not alone. In Psalm 55:22, we find these words:

Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

The psalmist is confident in his trust and faith in the Lord. He begins the psalm calling on the Lord to listen to his prayer. His enemies were surrounding him; he had trouble on every side. He knows that his enemies do not fear God. In verse 22, we can see that he puts his trust in the Lord to save him from his enemies.  When you get a chance read this entire Psalm. I pray that we are all putting our trust in the Lord knowing that He will not slumber nor sleep.  He will keep us from falling
