Thanks be to God that He holds us close to His heart.  We are never far away from God. His hand is always surrounding us, His love is always there for us. He is concerned about all of us, even when we go astray.  Each of us have a special place in His heart.  No one can hold us like God. To be held close to Him is a blessing that we don’t deserve. Close to God is where we should all want to be.  We need His strong arms of protection. There is no place we can go where God is not.  Give God thanks
for holding us close to His heart! In Psalm 27:10, we find these words:

Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close.

The psalmist is grateful the Lord kept him close. He begins this chapter saying, “The Lord is my light, and my salvation so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.” The psalmist is assured that no weapon formed against him shall prosper because he is close to God’s heart. Read this Psalm, then think about the difficult times in your life.  Prayerfully, you will see, as I have, that the Lord was with you during those times because He holds us close to His heart.
