God Seeks After The Lost

It is so important for us to never forget that God holds each one of us special in His heart. Our God will go after that one lost soul. One might be lost in the crowd, but we are never lost in the sight of God. In Luke 15:4, we find these words:

“‘If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won’t he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?’”

In this parable, the Master speaks about a man who has a hundred sheep; however, one of the sheep got lost. The Master indicates that the shepherd will leave the ninety-nine and go after the one lost sheep. God’s desire is to bring that lost sheep back to the fold. No matter how lost we are, or how far we stray from our path, Jesus will never stop looking for us to bring us back to the Father. The same way God loves us is the same way He loves those who are lost. Not only does He go after the lost, but He gives them power, renews their strength, and gives them His love.
