Thanks be unto God today! The God we serve responds to our every need! When He responds, our every need is met. God can do all things and does all things well. There is nothing that we need that God cannot supply. God can bless every need — not some needs, not a few needs, but every need. So today, whatever you stand in need of, give it to God. If you need healing, give it to God. If you need strength, give it to God. If you need patience, give it to God. Whatever you need, God will respond. He will not ignore any of us. I know that to be true, because I cannot count the many times I called on the name of the Lord, and He heard my cry. He has supplied my every need, and He will supply yours too!In 1 John 5:15, we find these words:

“And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.”

The writer makes it clear that the Lord hears our requests. John indicates that he is confident in this assurance. He recognizes that God hears and answers prayer and is sharing this with his fellow believers. He tells them there is nothing that God will not do for His children, but he also tells them that they must live in a way that pleases the Lord. Notice that in verse fourteen, he says, “And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.” When we ask, and what we ask for pleases Him, He will respond. But our asking must always be in His will. So, whenever you ask God for something, make sure that it is a request that pleases Him. Make sure that you are striving, every day, to please the Lord, and He will respond to your needs.
