“Fear not” in my humble view is one thing that all of us need to grab hold of. If we are honest, no matter the amount of faith we possess, there are still things that we fear. I know we may not share that fear openly because we do not want others to look at us as faithless. However, when we get devastating news like, “you have cancer” or another debilitating illness, or you are faced with an insurmountable obstacle in life, you feel as though you have little or no strength to endure. You can become fearful. I must admit that there have been things in my life that caused me to fear. I am being transparent. These words ring true in my heart and I need God to relieve me of my fears. I am so glad that the God we serve can handle all our fears. Today’s scripture reference is Isaiah 41:10.

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.”

In this passage, God speaks to His people who are fearful. God has called His servant Jacob, to lead the people. He speaks to him not to fear, for God will strengthen Him with His victorious right hand. God will deal with all those angry enemies and cause them to be confused and humiliated. God tells the people of Israel that He is the Lord their Redeemer and that they will become victorious no matter the odds against them. God assures them that He will be with them. Help is on the way. Know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is stronger than any enemy we might face. We need not be fearful for the Lord is with us every step of the way. Faith in God is stronger than fear.
