It is so good to know that God knows us individually. He knows all about us. We’ve heard the words that God knows every hair on our head. But not only does He know each strand on our head, He knows our thoughts and capabilities. He knows our strengths and weaknesses; we cannot hide from Him. We might hide from others, but God knows every minute detail about us because He made us. What a blessing it is to know that God really knows us individually! There are people who know something about us, but only God knows everything about us. In Matthew 6:8, we find these words:

“Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!”

What powerful words these are! What words of assurance they are! We are encouraged to pray in secret. Unlike hypocrites who pray to be seen, we should go into our prayer room and shut the door. The Word says, in Matthew 6:6, that the Father who sees everything will reward us. Matthew writes that God knows our needs before we even make our petition. There is no need to use vain repetitions, but we should be honest and transparent with the One who knows us. We can ask Him anything. Prayerfully, we are all comfortable talking with God, knowing that He knows all about us.
