Writing these devotions is really a blessing.  I begin my day with our Church Without Walls from 6:00-7:00 am.  I have also been trying to exercise by going to the YMCA and walking for a period. Then I go into the office and do a Thought of the Day, which is on Facebook, and another way to share the blessings of God.  I remember doing a Thought of the Day from the book of Joshua 1:9 that says, “Be strong and courageous for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go”.  What a blessing it is to know that wherever we go, God is with us. Therefore, we need not fear or fall apart when we run against obstacles for God is with us.  This scripture reference for the devotion is Psalm 73:23 and reads:

“Yet, I still belong to you; you hold my right hand.”

Here the psalmist expresses his awareness of the presence and reality of God.  His faith is in God regardless of what he is now going through.  The psalmist expresses his confidence in God to the people of God.  He knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that the goodness of God is with him.  He indicates that God shall guide him with His counsel.  He has no other help other than the help that comes from God.  He ends this psalm by simply saying “But as for me, how good it is to be near God! I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do”. May we as God’s people continue to put our trust in God and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that God is with us along the way.
