Thanks be to God that He is patient with us! When He could have given up on us, His grace and mercy allowed us to see a brand-new day. Give God thanks today for being patient with you; I know that He has been patient with me. Others have been affected by some of the things that I have done, and some of those things have caused pain and sorrow. Perhaps your story is the same as mine.  You may have even found that that there are those who lost patience with you. But I am so grateful that no matter what we may have done, God is always there for us; He is always patient with us. In2 Peter 3:9, find these words:

The LORD isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.

The writer indicates that God provides us with the opportunity to repent. He is patient and He grants us His love and mercy.  Others may be slow in keeping promises, but not God.  When you get the chance, read this entire chapter, then take time to thank God for His patience, His love, His grace, and His mercy!
