GOD IS OUR REFUGE AND STRENGTH
At times in our lives, we need to be reminded that God is our refuge and strength. Life has a way of draining us dry and we find ourselves depleted of strength. In those times, we can look to God for the strength we need. We can find refuge in Him for He will cover us by His powerful hand. Perhaps you have not experienced needing God as your refuge and strength. I would simply say, keep on living for the time will come when you need God. Thanks be unto God that He never slumbers nor sleeps. He is always there to provide the help we need. Psalm 46:1 reads in this manner.
“God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.”
The psalmist declares that God is our refuge and strength. The King James Version says, “God is a very present help in trouble.” Underline the word present. Whenever we need Him, He is there, so we need not fear when troubles come. The psalmist has the confidence that the Lord will give him the help he needs in any situation. In this psalm, he writes, “Be still and know that I am God.” When troubles come, we need to be still, confident that God will give us the help we need. There is no need for us to panic or feel helpless. All our help cometh from the Lord who made Heaven and earth. He is right there for us and will be with us every step of the way.
