We say the phrase, “God is good” but it is more than just a saying, it is a true

statement! No one is good but God, in fact God is more than good —He’s great! We all have some good and some bad within us, but God’s goodness and kindness is shown to us every day of our lives.  Let us look back over our lives and think about how good God has been.  Think about how many doors He has opened.  Think of the many blessings we have received.  Someone said, “When I think of the goodness of
the Lord, and all that He has done for me, my soul cries out Hallelujah!”  Just think of His goodness to you! In Mark 10:18we find these words:

 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus asked. “Only God is truly good.”

Here Jesus responds to a rich man who asked, in verse 17, “Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?”  In verses 19 through 21, Jesus answers the man’s questions, telling him specifically what he must do by following all the commandments.  Read this powerful passage of scripture to understand what God has called us to do. Prayerfully we will all be able to keep His commandments and know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God is good!
