God honors those who are faithful. At the end of this life, if we are faithful, the Master will say, as in Matthew 25:21 “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”  Throughout our lives, He provides us opportunity every day to show our faithfulness. In Mark 14:9, we find these words:

“I tell you the truth, wherever the Good News is preached throughout the world, this woman’s deed will be remembered and discussed.”

In verse 3 we see that a woman came into the home where Jesus was eating and poured precious perfume over His head. Others criticized her for doing this, saying that the oil could have been sold and the money been given to the poor. However, Jesus said that what she had done was a good thing that was to be remembered (verses 6-9). In spite of the criticism she received, the Master acknowledged what she had done. It was an act of love, worship and devotion. Always remember that God takes notice when we selflessly do something in His name. He acknowledges acts of kindness, humility, faith and love. Prayerfully, we have all shown at least one of these acts towards someone. If not, read this chapter when you get a chance and then ask God to show you how to show kindness or love to someone. May we all be blessed in knowing that our good deeds will not go unnoticed by God!
