As I prepared this devotion, the Spirit of the Lord placed a song on my heart.  Some of the words are, “God cares, He cares, I know He cares, He cares for me.”I know, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God cares for me and for you. When no one else cares, God cares.  Not only does He care, but He provides for us and gives us direction.  His love holds us when life is falling apart. In Matthew 6:30, we find these words:

“’And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?’”

Matthew makes it clear that if our God takes care of the
lilies in the field, then surely He is able to take care of us. When we have faith, we need not be anxious for anything.  God provides for even the birds in the air. If God can take care of the birds in the air and the lilies in the field, He will most surely  take care of us.  We should never ever get to the point in our lives where we believe we are alone and have no one to care for us.  Family members may turn away, friends may forsake us, but rest assured that God is always there. May we all have the blessed assurance of knowing that God cares for each and everyone of us.
