As I write this devotion, I am mindful that the God we serve can do all things and do all things well. God has no limits or boundaries. He is able to do exceedingly more than we can ask, think or imagine. I would argue strongly that there were times in our lives when we thought that God could not do what we needed. However, make no mistake about it; God has the power to bless us beyond our own imagination. The scripture lesson for this devotion is found in the gospel of Luke, chapter 1, verse 37:

“For the Word of God will never fail.”

In this moving story, we see the blessings of God. The angel tells Mary that she would bear a child and the child shall be called the Son of God. Mary questioned the angel because she “knew no man”. The angels responded that the Holy Spirit would come upon her and that the power of God would overshadow her, and she would be given a child called the Holy Son of God. We see the power of God at work and how the Lord blessed her. When you get a chance, read this remarkable story and never lose sight of the fact that our God can do all things and that nothing is impossible with Him. May you be strengthened today with the faith and the knowledge that the God you call upon in your troubling times is the God who will provide all that you need.
