We are faced with many trials and troubles in life, and we need God to give us patience to endure. He will give it to us when we ask. So many things in life prevent us from being patient, even with one another. Far too often we lose our patience, raising our voices in distress. Some of us may be dealing with a stressful situation or person, right now. This is where we need to stop and say, “Lord please give me patience, and please be patient with me.” In Roman’s 8:25, we find these words:

“But if we look forward to something we don’t yet have, we must wait patiently and confidently“

The writer speaks about the need to wait on God. We should wait with confidence as we go through trials and troubles. The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. God’s spirit allows us to pray. The writer goes on to say, “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.” He is clear that nothing can separate us from the love of God. All we need to do is wait on the Lord with patience, and He will grant us the desires of our heart. With confidence, we all need to ask the Lord to give us patience, knowing that in time He will grant our request.
