God’s people ought to praise Him.  We ought to praise Him every day because He keeps us day-by-day, night-by-night and moment-by-moment. He showers us with His grace and His mercy. We need always to remember the goodness and kindness of the Lord. When we remember, we ought to reflect and praise God. There is something about a day that starts with praise that gives us strength. Today’s scripture reference is Deuteronomy 4:34.

“Has any other god dared to take a nation for himself out of another nation by means of trials, miraculous signs, wonders, war, a strong hand, a powerful arm, and terrifying acts? Yet that is what the Lord your God did for you in Egypt, right before your eyes.”

In this moving passage, the author speaks of God’s power. In the previous verses, he calls upon the people to hear God’s Holy voice. God is holy and requires our obedience and respect. “There is none other beside Him.” He writes. God rules heaven and earth. Therefore, we should keep His commandments. He also prays that God’s commandments will be kept in the hearts and minds of the children so that God may prolong their days. Take the time today to give Him praise. Let no day go by when you do not offer Him your deep and genuine thanks. There is nothing like giving God praise for He inhabits the praise of His people.
