GET RIGHT WITH GOD
As I was preparing this devotion, I immediately thought of the song “Get right with God and do it now. He will show you how.” Those words speak clearly about the need to have a right relationship with Almighty God. Each of us must have an intimate relationship with Him. That intimate relationship will transform our lives. God extends an invitation to us to accept Him as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is there to forgive us of all our sins to renew a right relationship with Him. Romans 4:24 is our scriptural reference today.
“For our benefit, too, assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in Him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.”
Here, the writer of these deep and profound words writes that God receives us, through our faith. It is a free gift that provides us the opportunity to have a right relationship with God. Paul writes of Abraham’s faith and unwavering devotion to God’s promise. God is faithful to do whatever He promised. Our belief in Him allows us to be called righteous. Jesus, our Lord and Savior gave His life for our sins and was raised to make us right with God. He paid the price and all we need to do is believe in Him and thou shalt be saved. As you read this devotion, prayerfully you have a right relationship with God. If not, change the very course of your life today, and accept the free gift of salvation offered to you.
