FURTHERING THE GOSPEL

It is my fervent prayer that as we gather every day on the Church Without Walls service, that we are mindful to further the gospel of Jesus Christ. We do not want to be a hindrance or roadblock to someone coming to Christ. I ask callers to mute their phones to ensure that there are no interruptions so our worship is fulfilling. A seasoned, mature believer may be able to handle interruptions, but a new Saint, or someone who has not yet come to Christ, may hang up. We do not advance the gospel when we stand in the way of giving God praise, glory and honor. We have the opportunity to win souls for Christ and we must not prevent it in any way. In Philippians 1:12, we find these words:

“And I want you to know, my dear brothers and sisters, that everything that has happened to me here has helped to spread the Good News.”

Paul made it clear that the things that have happened to him have served to further the gospel. His time in prison was an opportunity for him to share the gospel. His faith and trust in God were strong and he did not waiver in his convictions. Despite his circumstances, Paul was convinced, more than ever, that he was doing the will of God. It is my prayer that no matter the circumstance, we will all continue to do the will of God so that others will see Christ in us and give Him the glory and honor that He so richly deserves.
