God has been so gracious and generous to us. He has freely given us much more than we deserve. In response to His giving, we are compelled to give ourselves freely: our finances, time, talents and resources. We are to give freely from all of God’s abundance, as He has blessed us with healing, restoration and forgiveness. In Matthew 10:8, we find these words:

“Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!”

The disciples were called on to talk about Jesus and what He had done for them. We do not own the gift of salvation nor can we give it. We have received this gift from the Lord; consequently, we should share it with others. It is my prayer today that we all study God’s Word and be reminded that as we have freely received, we should freely give.
