I remember the song Faithful, faithful, faithful is our God we know that to be true. God is faithful and wants us to be faithful followers. Faithful when times are well and when times are not so well. God has a reward for those who are faithful not just in eternal life but in this present life. God honors those who are faithful. One who is faithful does not waver in their conviction. One who is faithful is not moved by popularity. A faithful warrior is one who is rooted and grounded in the Lord. I pray that as you read this, you can say without hesitation, that you are seeking to be a faithful follower of the Lord. With that thought in mind, turn your attention to Revelation 17:14.
“Together they will go to war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will defeat them because He is Lord of all lords and King of all kings. And His called and chosen and faithful ones will be with Him.”
The story of the battle between evil and good is repeated from time and time in Revelation. As we read the story, we can see the theme of the book of Revelation; it is constructed by one who is always ready to burst out in admiration of the Living Christ. Being chosen and faithful is a common theme throughout this book. The Lord of Lords and King of Kings has promised to be faithful to His followers. But, the Lord will bless His chosen ones. When you get a chance, read this chapter. It can be heavy, yet it has much truth. One thing is clear, the faithful we will hear the Lord say, “Well done, thy good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord.”
