FAITH PLEASES GOD

Faith is a gift from God. When we operate in faith, it pleases God. Faith without works is dead. Always remember that we walk by faith and not by sight. If you really want to know how to honor and to please God, simply use your faith. Faith is an action word that requires us to do. More than just to be, but to do. The question confronting all of us today derives from whether or not we are using our faith. What good is our faith if it is not exercised? Do not allow it to be dormant. We should exercise our faith and put it to work. Many of our problems can be solved through faith. Many of our prayers can be answered by utilizing faith. I pray that your faith is not only at work, but that it increases as you continue to rely on it. With faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move mountains! Today’s devotion in Hebrews 11:6 speaks of how faith pleases God:

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

We read in the fifth and sixth verses that Enoch’s faith pleased God and he was spared the suffering of death. The author indicates that God showed Enoch unusual favor. He writes that, “Without faith, it is impossible to please God.” In fact, the author speaks of Abraham who journeyed to a land that God called him to go. He obeyed God and is called the “Father of the Faithful.” It is amazing how faith not only pleases God, but it sustains us in every situation of life. Put your faith to work and allow God to be pleased, granting to you His favor.
