For years I have kept a daily journal where I have recorded the bountiful blessings God has granted me. Whenever I am faced with a challenge, I look at my journal and review the many blessings God has given me. This serves as a constant reminder of God’s faithfulness. Sometimes when we are confronted with trials and troubles, we forget what God has already done. Remembering that God has come to our rescue in the past serves as a frame of reference. No matter what situation we find ourselves in, if we put our faith in God, He will surely bring us through. In Jeremiah 30:2, we find these words:

“This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: ‘Write in a book all the words I have spoken to you.’”

The Lord spoke to the prophet Jeremiah and instructed him to keep a record of all his blessings. Jeremiah had also been given the knowledge that God is going to turn things around for the people of Israel, so they may return again to the Lord. Read this chapter when you get a chance, and see the great revival God intends for His people. It is my fervent prayer we will all keep a daily journal. It requires discipline, for at the end of the day you may find yourself weary and worn. However, writing down the blessings from God can renew our faith. There are so many words of comfort that may come from the pages of our journals when we read them, for everyday God blesses us in a new and meaningful way.
