Faith Has Healing Power
During the Church Without Walls service, I have been led by the Lord to begin the service in various ways —one way was to begin with a word for the day. Some of the words that we used to begin the service were: “Hallelujah, Glory, Peace, Faith, and Joy.” But there is one word that still resonates in my heart, and it is the word “Faith.” Without Faith it is impossible to please God. Jesus, Himself, said in Matthew 17:20, that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed, we can move mountains. That’s power! In Mark 10:52, we find these words:
“And Jesus said to him, ‘Go, for your faith has healed you.’ Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.”
Here we see the incredible story of how Jesus healed the blind man. The blind man asked that he might receive his sight. He asked in faith, and Jesus responded that it was his faith that had healed him. Mercy was granted to him and his faith had made him whole. It is my prayer today we have faith every time we pray. I pray that our prayers are not ritual and routine, but they are rooted and grounded in faith. Whatever situation we find ourselves in, be assured that the Lord hears and answers prayer. There is power in prayer when our faith is strong.
