All of us stand in need of God’s blessings. We cannot live a day without God blessing us. Regardless of our intellect and wealth, or any other gift we may have, we still stand in need of God’s blessings. I have mentioned in previous daily devotions that I chuckle when people say, “If God doesn’t do anything else for me, I am satisfied”. That might be true for them, but I need God’s blessings every day. I am not equipped to handle life by myself. I need His power, presence, and blessings in my life. Let me add, it is all of us and not just me. Where would we be without God’s blessings? Morning-by-morning new mercies we see. We need His love, mercy, grace, and power. The scripture reference today is II Corinthians 9:8 and reads in this manner.

“And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.”

Paul speaks to the people of Corinth of God’s love and mercy. He expresses gratitude for their generosity that they have shown to him and wants them to know of God’s faithfulness. In this moving passage, Paul shares the bountiful blessings of God. God has blessed them and allowed their blessings to bless others. Paul wants them to be generous in their giving and God in turn will supply all their needs. He is aware of the countless brothers and sisters who need blessings and wants them to give sacrificially and joyfully. Paul says that God provides seed for them and then bread to eat. In the same way, He will provide your resources. The more you give, the more He gives to you so just keep on giving. Bless someone today who stands in need of a blessing. Your life will be blessed, and God will provide you with increase from His heart of love.
