Today’s devotion speaks of not wasting time, a gift from God. What we do with that time is up to us. Use your time wisely. Do not waste a minute and do all you can for the glory of God. Take a moment to look at how you spend your day. I pray that your day is full of blessings and one in which you seek to use for God’s glory. Every day I write a journal. I am able to look back over the day and see what I have done. I must admit, I become convicted when I realize that I did not use that day to its fullest. Yet, God has blessed me each day. The scripture reference is Psalm 119:44.

“I will keep on obeying your instructions forever and ever.”

The psalmist makes a commitment to God to walk in the newness of God each day. He has made a vow to obey the Lord and follow His instruction. In this psalm, consisting of 176 verses, he writes of his deep and genuine love for the Lord. He wants the Lord to know that he is grateful and wants to use each opportunity to show God’s goodness, kindness and tenderness. The Lord has blessed him bountifully. He has given His unfailing love. He trusts the Lord. Read these 176 verses and make a conscious decision to use every day to its fullest. Do not waste a day or hour, but honor God every moment of your life.
