DON’T SHUT THE SPIRT DOWN!

I have been blessed many times to be in the presence of God’s Holy Spirit. When the Spirit of God is high, you can feel the movement of God’s presence. However, suddenly, something happened each time, and before I knew it, the Spirit was shut down. Whether you are in worship with others or worshiping God alone, don’t shut down the Spirit. The Spirit of God gives us power. He is our strength. He revives us.
He gives us joy. Do not dampen the Spirit. Let the Spirit flow. Thank God for His Spirit today. Be open to receive the Spirit and let the Spirit move you. In 2 Samuel 6:14, we find these words:

“And David danced before the LORD with all his might, wearing a priestly garment.”

Here in this moving passage of Scripture, we see David dancing before the Lord. The word says that after the men carrying the ark had passed by, David sacrificed a bull and a fatted calf, and then began to dance. The Spirit of God was high. David would not allow the spirit to be shut down. The people of Israel brought the ark to the Lord with shouts of joy, blowing a ram’s horn. David continued dancing, and the people joined with him in that time of praise. Read this story when you get a chance, and you will see an amazing example of what it means to let the Spirit flow. Don’t shut the Spirit down!
