It is important to live our lives according to God’s will, without allowing ourselves to be controlled by others. We are free to live according to His will. Whom God has set free is free indeed. We need to be our own person and not allow others to influence us, particularly if they are not aligned with God. That is why it is important to stay away from negative people, who can pollute our lives with their influence. Ungodly teachings influence countless people. For us to live a wholesome life, we must always live according to God’s way and will. I would argue strongly that many have stopped going to church to worship God based upon the words someone has said or done to them. The scripture reference is found in II Corinthians 3:17 and reads in this manner:

“For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”

Paul speaks about the new way of life that has given the believer freedom. The forces of evil no longer control them, for they have been set free to live a life worthy and pleasing to the Lord. They have been given this confidence and boldness to be who they are in Christ that will not allow anyone to diminish their value or tear them apart. The Spirit controls them. The veil has been taken away and their lives have been made brand-new. Prayerfully, you know that the hand of God has set you free. You know that no power can influence you or cause harm to overtake you. You are indeed a child of the Most High God and He is the source of your being.
