It is amazing how we block our blessings by being angry. We allow anger to rise up to the extent that we stop serving God. We can be so consumed with anger that we leave little or no space for Him. Our anger takes us away from our praise. The medical field reports that anger can cause us to have a stroke or heart attack. We can self-destruct over that condition called anger. Anger will stop us from reconciling with one another even when we know we are wrong. I could write a book about how anger rules over us. I will simply say, as this devotion says, Don’t let anger stop you. In Numbers 14:36, we find these words:

“The ten men Moses had sent to explore the land—the ones who incited rebellion against the Lord with their bad report.”

The people rebelled against Moses and turned from God. The Lord was displeased with their attitudes and evil deeds. Their anger blocked their blessings! Moses told them that the Lord was not pleased and they would be punished. In verses 36 and 37 we find that the men who brought the bad report were struck dead with a plague before the Lord. Read this entire chapter to understand the full story. Then prayerfully, we will all continue to trust the Lord for everything. There is no need for any of us to walk around angry. Instead, we should all spend our time praising God.
