DON’T GET LOST

I cannot remember how many times I referred to this sound advice of not getting lost when writing these devotions. Psalm 119 has 176 verses; each verse offers words of instruction. We need this guidance, especially in times when we find ourselves lost or faced with roadblocks. I am not the best driver; my sense of direction is bad. Most often, I need my navigation system to get me to and from my destination. There have even been times in my life when I have wandered away from God. However, because
of the instructions in God’s Word, I found my way back. Thanks be to God for His word! Today’s devotion is simply “Don’t get lost!” In Psalm 119: 176, we find these words:

“I have wandered away like a lost sheep; come and find me, for I have not forgotten your commands.”

Here the psalmist is open and honest about his situation. He is not trying to impress God; he is just being honest. He tells the Lord that even though
he’s lost, he still remembers His commands. Joyful are those who obey His laws! If you ever find yourself lost, go back to the beginning of this Psalm and read the guidance found here. Do not forget the Lord’s commands and He will put you back on the right path
