Many situations occur in our lives when we must make a choice. We can choose to do that which is right or that which is wrong. Choosing to do nothing is not necessarily the right thing. God calls us to do the right thing. We cannot make excuses or indicate that we do not know what the right thing is for we know right from wrong and what honors God. We know what God requires of us. The question is, will we do it? There is a portion of scripture in II Thessalonians 3:13 that speaks of the need to do the right thing:

“And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.”

We are called not to get weary in well doing. In this chapter, we see that there are those who were disobedient to God. Some had walked away from helping others. The Thessalonians are commanded to avoid anything that dishonored God. They were told to glorify God in all that they did. They were called to make the right choice by continuing to serve and love. The Thessalonians were not to become lazy or complacent, but to serve with love, tenderness and compassion. Paul refers to himself as an example of what he is calling them to do. He wants them to continue serving the Lord with heart, soul and mind. He warns them about being complacent and implores them to do the right thing. Prayerfully, we will continue to do the right thing and not get weary. Always honor God by the choices we make and the lives we touch
