See the source imageGod is a God of grace and mercy, and we should never ever take His wonderful gift lightly. We are not saved by works, but by God’s grace. No matter how much work we do — and we should do work for the Lord — work by itself cannot save us. We cannot earn God’s grace; it is a gift that He keeps on giving — morning by morning, new mercies are ours to see! God’s amazing grace, God’s saving grace. What it is to know that we have been saved by God’s grace! In Galatians 2:21, we a wonderful blessing find these words:

“I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.”

Paul, the humble servant of the Lord, makes it clear that God’s grace is powerful. He knew this from his own experience of God’s grace. God saved him on the road to Damascus, and it changed his life forever. Paul is truly thankful for God’s grace and mercy. It is my prayer that each of us are truly grateful and thankful for God’s grace, and that we never take it lightly.
