It is so important for the people of God to develop a deep and abiding faith in the Lord. We walk by faith and not by sight. This matter of having a genuine faith in the Lord is crucial and critical for our everyday living. We step out on faith, trusting God even though we do not know exactly what He is doing. Faith is moving forward even when we do not know where we are going. Notice I said earlier that developing this kind of faith, which does not come overnight, takes time to develop. In Matthew 16:1, we read these words:

“One day the Pharisees and Sadducees came to test Jesus, demanding that he show them a miraculous sign from heaven to prove His authority.”

The Master refused to show them a sign because He knew that they had little or no faith. It is amazing that there are those who see Jesus’ miracles every day, however they are still not convinced. Prayerfully, we are striving to develop a deep and abiding faith in God each day. We can do this by studying His Word, praying and meditating. Developing our faith will give us what we need when we are faced with the troubles and trials of life. We will know, without a shadow of a doubt, that He will bring us through!
