God is a God of all comfort and we are to comfort one another. This is what God has called us to do. He gives us comfort so that we can encourage our brothers and sisters. God is our great teacher and He allows us to draw from Him that we might be His agents in the world. Right now, somebody reading this devotion needs to be comforted. I pray you are comforted, even as you comfort someone else. Reach out to someone today let to them know that God has the power to strengthen them. Our scripture reference is found in 2 Corinthians 1:4:

“He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.”

What is amazing to me, is not just the ministry of comfort I have to administer to other people, but the fact that my own troubles are not in vain. The things that I go through today have a purpose because as God comforts me, God is preparing me to be a blessing to someone else. Stay in the race! You are blessed to be a blessing. Bless someone else today with the gift of God’s comfort.
