CHRISTMAS DAY – THE SAVIOR’S BIRTH
It is Christmas 2021. What a wonderful day it is to give God thanks for the Savior’s birth. His birth brought peace and joy to a world full of pain and heartache. That same joy that He brought to the world is ours today. We can sing with the angels, “Joy to the world, the Lord has come.” Today, take time to thank God for the Savior’s birth. No gift under your tree compares with the precious, priceless gift of our Savior. It is His gift of love, redemption, grace, and mercy extended to all who open their hearts to receive Him. It is extended regardless of any race, economic background or factor that we might encounter. It has no limits or restrictions upon those who seek to find Him. The scripture reference is Luke 2:11.
“The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!”
In this moving passage of scripture, Luke indicates that our Savior was born in Bethlehem. There were lowly shepherds watching their sheep. The angel of the Lord appeared to them and they became afraid. The angel said, “Do not be afraid for I bring good news to all people. The Savior Messiah has been born.” Underline all people. That includes you and I, for the gift of His birth is a blessing to all people. Your tree may be bare; nevertheless, you have the greatest gift, Jesus Christ is born this day. Praise God! Praise God! Have a blessed Christmas!
